Just came across you and now following. You have the exact name as my thriller character. He started out in Brooklyn and is now an assassin going after terrorists world-wide. I have eight books out about him and am enjoying his adventures as are (thankfully) thousands of my readers. I look forward to your posts!
Thank you for introducing me to Michael Donaghy, I hope your shoulder mends perfectly, I once slid into Michael Stipe and climbed up his body to his own surprise and horror, and Happy New Year.
Um. Well I’m sorry to have to say this, but that’s not a poem for New Year’s Eve or even Day. Because that’s a gotdang poem for life, man! For life! Every day should feature a public broadcast of a reading of this poem followed by some podcast-ambient incidental music that you can’t break away from when it’s your turn to move your foot from the break pedal to the accelerator.
Getting Donaghy's Collected Poems back in print would be a great 2024 goal.
Happy Holidays Dan!

Thanks for revealing my secret identity, David.
Well, you are quite the warrior; keeping the civilized world safe from the bad guys.
Amazing how you find the time to do it all. ;-)

That line has always haunted me. That one.
